Everything between a 3D model and a trained team
GridNest covers building the scene, scripting the steps, publishing to each device and reading the results. Your MDM keeps managing the hardware.
Scene editor
Start from the files you already have
Existing CAD or BIM models can cut 3D asset work substantially, so we built the editor around them.
- Meshes: FBX, glTF / GLB, USDZ
- Engineering files: CAD (STEP) and BIM (IFC), with mesh decimation for standalone headsets
- Interactive 360 video, monoscopic or stereoscopic, with hotspots and branching
- Review workflow so a subject-matter expert signs off before anything ships

Guided & evaluation modes
Teach it, then test it, in the same scene
Each step is defined once. Guided mode shows hints and lets learners retry. Evaluation mode hides hints, injects a random fault and fails the step on a wrong action, so a pass means the learner actually found the problem.
Step definitions are plain JSON, versioned with every publish, and exportable.

One scene, every build target
Platforms change. 8th Wall is shutting down hosting and Meta stopped selling business-edition Quest headsets in 2026. GridNest keeps your content separate from any one runtime, so a platform change means a new build, not a new project.
| Target | Devices |
|---|---|
| Meta Horizon OS | Quest 3, Quest 3S |
| visionOS | Apple Vision Pro |
| Android XR | Samsung Galaxy XR |
| Pico OS | Pico headsets |
| Mobile AR | iOS and Android phones |
| WebXR | Any modern browser |
Works with your MDM
Send builds straight to device groups in ManageXR, ArborXR or Meta Horizon managed services, and lock headsets to a single module with kiosk mode. Device management stays where it is.
Results & integrations
Training records that land in your LMS
Every attempt records the step, result, time on task and device. Send completions to your LMS as xAPI statements or SCORM packages, pull data over the REST API, or listen for webhooks when a learner passes.

Security & privacy
Built to pass your IT review
Single sign-on
SAML 2.0 SSO, including Microsoft Entra ID, on Enterprise. Editors and admins sign in with your identity provider.
Roles
Separate roles for admins, editors, reviewers and learners. Reviewers can comment on a draft without publishing it.
Minimal learner data
We record step results, attempts, timing and device. Raw eye-tracking and hand-tracking data is not stored by default.
Export and delete
Export scenes, assets and learner records at any time. Delete a learner or a whole workspace on request.
Custom builds
Need the scene built for you?
Our team builds digital twins of equipment and sites, interactive 3D scenes, AR apps, immersive simulations and virtual showrooms for sales teams. Everything is delivered inside your GridNest workspace, so your team can edit it afterwards. Custom work is quoted per project after a scoping call.
